Cap: 50-75+ mm in diameter, broadly convex to plane at maturity. Yellowish brown maturing to yellow. Surface dry with small remnants of universal veil on cap (spots). Flesh white soon bruising bluish green.
Stem: 150 mm in length, yellowish, bulbous. Flesh bruising bluish green where injured. Partial veil nearly absent not usually leaving a ring on the stem.
Gills: Attachment adnate to adnexed. Grayish coloration in young fruit bodies becoming somewhat darker at maturity.
Spores: Dark purplish brown, subellipsoid on 4-spored basidia. This strain is a relatively poor spore depositor and as a result specimens are only available for microscopy use in spore syringe form.
